Some virtual desktops were migrated from older billing systems into the Virtual Desktop Console.
Migrated services may continue to work normally, but they may need a billing update before future renewals can be handled automatically.
What a migrated service means #
A migrated service is an existing Spaceport virtual desktop that was added to the Virtual Desktop Console.
The console may show the system, connection details, service status, and paid-through date, even if the service was originally created outside the current Stripe billing workflow.
What Update Billing does #
If your system shows Update Billing, use that button to move the service into Stripe subscription billing.
After the billing update is complete:
- Future renewals are handled automatically.
- The service is linked to your current billing method.
- The billing reference in the console is updated.
- Manual renewal steps are no longer needed.
Will my desktop be replaced? #
No. Updating billing does not redeploy, erase, or change your virtual desktop.
It only updates the billing relationship for the existing service.
What if I do not update billing? #
If billing is not updated, the service may remain marked as requiring billing action.
To avoid renewal problems, update billing before the paid-through date or contact support for help.
