How To Read Virtual Desktop Statuses

The Virtual Desktop Console shows a status for each virtual desktop.

The status helps explain whether the system is being created, ready to use, stopped, cancelled, or waiting for billing action.

Common statuses #

Provisioning
The virtual desktop is being created or configured. Access may not be ready yet.

Ready
The virtual desktop is ready to use.

Stopped
The virtual desktop is powered off. Use Start to turn it back on.

Update Billing
The service needs a billing update before future renewals can be handled automatically.

Cancels at period end
Renewal has been cancelled, but the service remains available through the paid-through date.

Cancelled
The service has been cancelled and is no longer renewing.

Power actions such as Start, Stop, Reboot, and Redeploy affect the virtual desktop.

Billing actions such as Update Billing or Cancel Service affect the service renewal.

These are separate actions.
