Before You Redeploy: What Gets Deleted

< 1 min read

Redeploy replaces your current virtual desktop with a fresh system using the same service record and paid-through date.

Use Redeploy when the operating system is damaged, misconfigured, or you want to start over with a clean desktop.

What redeploy changes #

Redeploy creates a replacement virtual desktop from the current approved template.

This may reset:

  • Files saved inside the virtual desktop.
  • Installed applications.
  • Local user settings.
  • Operating system configuration changes.
  • Saved browser sessions or local application data.

What redeploy keeps #

Redeploy keeps the service record in the Virtual Desktop Console, including:

  • Your service ownership.
  • Your paid-through date.
  • Your billing status.
  • Your connection assignment when provisioning completes.

Before you redeploy #

Back up anything important before using Redeploy.

This includes documents, downloads, application data, license files, browser exports, or anything stored only inside the virtual desktop.

When to contact support first #

Open a support ticket before redeploying if:

  • You are not sure where your files are stored.
  • You need help recovering data.
  • You use special software or licensing.
  • You are redeploying because of a suspected security issue.
