{"id":1732,"date":"2026-05-15T16:56:58","date_gmt":"2026-05-15T16:56:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.spaceportconsulting.com\/?post_type=docs&#038;p=1732"},"modified":"2026-05-15T16:56:59","modified_gmt":"2026-05-15T16:56:59","password":"","slug":"migrated-services-and-update-billing","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/www.spaceportconsulting.com\/index.php\/docs\/migrated-services-and-update-billing\/","title":{"rendered":"Migrated Services And Update Billing"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Some virtual desktops were migrated from older billing systems into the Virtual Desktop Console.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Migrated services may continue to work normally, but they may need a billing update before future renewals can be handled automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What a migrated service means<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A migrated service is an existing Spaceport virtual desktop that was added to the Virtual Desktop Console.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The console may show the system, connection details, service status, and paid-through date, even if the service was originally created outside the current Stripe billing workflow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Update Billing does<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If your system shows <strong>Update Billing<\/strong>, use that button to move the service into Stripe subscription billing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the billing update is complete:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Future renewals are handled automatically.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The service is linked to your current billing method.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The billing reference in the console is updated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manual renewal steps are no longer needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Will my desktop be replaced?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>No. Updating billing does not redeploy, erase, or change your virtual desktop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It only updates the billing relationship for the existing service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What if I do not update billing?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If billing is not updated, the service may remain marked as requiring billing action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To avoid renewal problems, update billing before the paid-through date or contact support for help.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some virtual desktops were migrated from older billing systems into the Virtual Desktop Console.
